Linguistic decision analysis: steps for solving decision problems under linguistic information
A study on the steps to follow in linguistic decision analysis is presented in a context of multi-criteria=multi-person decision making. Three steps are established for solving a multi-criteria decision making problem under linguistic information: (i) the choice of the linguistic term set with its semantic in order to express the linguistic performance values according to all the criteria, (ii)...
متن کاملAn efficient approach for solving layout problems
This paper offers an approach that could be useful for diverse types of layout problems or even area allocation problems. By this approach there is no need to large number of discrete variables and only by few continues variables large-scale layout problems could be solved in polynomial time. This is resulted from dividing area into discrete and continuous dimensions. Also defining decision var...
متن کاملGLP: A General Linguistic Processor
GLP is a general l inguist ic processor for the analysis and generation of natural language. It is part of a speech understanding system currently under development at the Computer Science Department of our university [ 2 ] . 1. The Structure of GLP GLP is based on a second generation version of the General Syntactic Processor GSP of Kaplan and Kay [3]. I ts architecture is shown in f i g . 1. ...
متن کاملUsing a Single Framework for Computational Modeling of Linguistic Similarity for Solving Many NLP Problems
In this paper we show how a single framework for computational modeling of linguistic similarity can be used for solving many problems. Similarity can be measured within or across languages and at various linguistic levels. We model linguistic similarity in three stages: surface similarity, contextual similarity and distributional similarity. We have successfully used the framework for several ...
متن کاملMODIFIED K-STEP METHOD FOR SOLVING FUZZY INITIAL VALUE PROBLEMS
We are concerned with the development of a K−step method for the numerical solution of fuzzy initial value problems. Convergence and stability of the method are also proved in detail. Moreover, a specific method of order 4 is found. The numerical results show that the proposed fourth order method is efficient for solving fuzzy differential equations.
